One issue I mentioned was how the design made the Replicator a bottleneck which caused us production issues when we tried to solve it via kafka brokers config change.

Other issues include bugs in scripts. Which made us think that even risky script code should be covered with tests as much as possible.

And also made us add dedicated/focused grafana dashboards which accompany the script to have independent verification of what the scripts does.
